O.C.S.C’s Archery Club has something for everyone, and for everyone of all ages. Our club boasts one of the largest un-obstructed indoor archery range houses in Michigan. As well as extensive outdoor ranges for 3D, Field and Hunter, FITA Targets, and Broadhead Leagues.

This is the first article I have written in a long time. I haven’t submitted a report or article since I was President of the Shotgun Club back in 1991 and 1995, so please bear with me.
Well, we certainly have had some weird weather for the start of our outdoor archery season. I hope that if you have been in the woods looking for the big old Tom, you were successful.
As of now, all our outdoor leagues are up and running, which includes 3D, Field and Hunter, and FITA. You can check our archery calendar for days and times.
Our Archery Banquet was held on April 18th and was very well organized and attended. Awards and trophies were given out for the winter leagues, and awards for Tournaments and JOAD events were honored.
Shortly thereafter, we had our Zombie shoot. How those Zombies survived the cold that night, I am not sure. The setup for the shoot was well done with blinking lighted targets along with our fire pit, which provided us with a nice warm fire to roast hot dogs and S’mores.
We are now implementing a 5-person shoot committee that will coordinate all our shooting events.
On May 15-16-17, we hosted the Michigan Bow Hunters Spring Shoot and luckily had some nice weather.
This is the first leg of this three-event shoot. Our club shoots against two other clubs for bragging rights and a trophy. The more shooters we have, the better our chances for bringing the trophy tour club. It is a great way to meet archers from other clubs and enjoy some grilled burgers and treats after you shoot. I believe that is all for this month’s report.

We are proud to be a family oriented club that truly has something for everyone of all ages and abilities.
We have a beautiful clubhouse with a large indoor range as well as acres of outdoor ranges located on beautiful rolling, wooded, and open field terrain.
We have a great variety of leagues ongoing year round. We also host a variety of events, 3D shoot both indoors and outdoors and tournaments. Remember you do not need to be a member to shoot in any of the leagues or other events. You are always welcome to shoot as a guest.
As a member you have access to the indoor range 24 / 7 and the outdoor ranges during daylight hours. Just remember to check first for any range closings and to sign in to use the ranges.
If you have a special event you would like to schedule, such as corporate team building day, scout instructional or fun shoot, see one of the archery club representatives to arrange. We can even provide equipment and instruction.
Archery Club meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month. All club members are welcome to attend and get involved.

Come out and shoot as a guest of our leagues on any scheduled league day! Just check-in with our league secretary and pay the league fee and enjoy the challenge.
